Thrown on the wheel in our studio in Ennis, the Burren Plate is a shallow plate with low, straight walls. The outside is left as speckled grey stoneware, and the inside is glazed in our soft blue, which pools in the throwing rings across the centre.
It’s the plate we serve on at our long-table suppers: good for a main course, a shared starter, or bread and butter on the table.
Each one is made by hand in small batches, so the glaze settles slightly differently on every plate.
